February 8, 2020 | Category: Ward 1 Sneakers

LeBron 7 All-Star

Shining bright in vibrant blue hues, the LeBron VII ‘All Star’ returns after it first debuted 10 years ago in front of the largest crowd to ever attend a basketball game. Like the original, the same bold blue upper is accented by an ornate woodgrain overlay and features the indisputably innovative Air unit that’s synonymous with the model.

Air Jordan 3 • UNITE

ALL STAR WEEKEND

The Air Jordan III forever changed the game by introducing a unifying symbol of flight: The Jumpman logo. MJ elevated the style to new heights by rocking the singular silhouette throughout 1988’s All-Star Weekend in Chicago. More than three decades later, basketball’s best and brightest are again gathering in the Windy City—and the AJIII is also back, covered in familiar hues. Taking a cue from beloved local teams, the Air Jordan 3 • UNITE arrives dressed in fire red, complemented by hits of black and cement grey. Elephant print adds a dose of heritage-inspired design to this nostalgia-inducing look.

The Air Jordan III immediately turned heads upon its arrival in January 1988. Weeks later, MJ elevated his footwear to new heights by rocking the silhouette throughout 1988’s All-Star Weekend in Chicago. More than three decades later, basketball’s best and brightest are again gathering in the Windy City—and the AJIII is back, too. Taking a cue from beloved local teams, the upper arrives dressed in fire red, complemented by hits of black and cement grey. The style pays further tribute to Chi-town with altered branding on each heel.

2020 Nike Air Max 90 • Recrafted

Since the day it launched 30 years ago, the Air Max 90 has been an icon of culture. The classic silhouette and bold use of Nike’s Air technology stand unchanged and undisputed for good reason. 2020 marks the 30th anniversary of Nike‘s iconic Air Max 90, so the brand is bringing back its beloved sneaker in several OG-style colorways — including “Volt.” Aside from the memorable colorblocking and recognizable palattes, each of the 90s features a true-to-the-original last. This makes for a look that’s slightly more sleek than retro releases brought to market in years past. An eye-catching Hyper Turquoise colorway to show off the shoe’s signature shapes that true fans can recognize from blocks away. For those that want a little more support, this edition includes removable anatomical arch supports designed to complement the classic ride of the Max Air unit.

Air Jordan 11 Bred

December 19, 2019 | Category: Ward 1 Sneakers

There are certain sneakers are so iconic that nothing needs to be said to explain their significance. The Air Jordan 11 Bred is one of those sneakers. But for those that may not know we’ll hook you up with a little history lesson. Michael Jordan first debuted the shoe on April 26, 1996, during a playoff matchup against the Miami Heat. MJ dropped a cool 35/4/2 that night and led his Chicago Bulls to victory. The rest is history. MJ would go on to win his fourth NBA Championship and NBA Finals MVP trophy in the famed model. For the first time since 2012, Jordan Brand is releasing the AJ11 ‘Bred’ again.

You know the drill. Black mixed media upper (ballistic mesh and patent leather), crisp white midsole, True Red sole and accents. This latest release is coming back with the same specs as the OG ‘96 pair, down to the original box and packaging. This 2019 edition is gonna take you on a stroll down memory lane.

Air Jordan 4 Retro • What The

November 27, 2019 | Category: Ward 1 Sneakers

It’s time to do the right thing by celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Air Jordan IV. This legacy began in 1989 with four OG colorways, and all four have found their way onto this ‘What the’ iteration. Retro color-blocking with cement grey, military blue, and fire red is in full effect, and will have you mismatching a mashup. What’s on the left is not what’s on the right. What the? Like the original, the heel and forefoot ride comfortably on Air-Sole units, and the Jumpman is still defying gravity on the tongue.

Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard 3.0

Capture a moment in history in these new Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard 3.0. When the AJ I debuted in 1985, Nike designers went against tradition with a multi-colored sneaker that would standout on a court of all-white basketball sneakers. Decades later, the AJ I has re-defined tradition through MJ’s legendary play and revolutionary colorways. This AJ I continues that against-the-grain attitude with new black and orange color-blocking. Premium crinkled leather with a cream midsole give these AJ I’s a vintage look and texture, but the full patent leather upper provides a shine that’s meant to last. They’re like a pair frozen in time—worn-in, but never actually worn.

Air Max 1 • Sketch to Shelf

Legendary designer Tinker Hatfield pioneered the design for many notable Nike silhouettes, but one shoe in particular forever changed the game. The shoe that introduced visible Air to the world had to start somewhere, and Air Max 1 Sketch to Shelf brings Tinker Hatfield’s original Air Max 1 sketches to life. The mudguards and swooshes aren’t filled in completely and the tongue tab features Hatfield’s first Air Max logo concept. Handwritten notes throughout walk you through Hatfield’s vision, and a “SKETCH, PROPERTY OF NIKE NOT FOR RESALE” text graphic is noted on the inner lining.

Out here again. And in a familiar shade. The Air Jordan VI Infrared OG owes its origins to the 1991 NBA All-Star Game, where leading vote-getter Michael Jordan stepped onto the court with the first Black plus Infrared iteration. 28 years later, this iconic shoe enjoys all the beloved details of the 1991 Original, but with a modern gravity of its own that lends itself to the off-court expression of today.

In 1995, Michael Jordan stepped onto the hardwood for playoff competition in the now iconic Air Jordan XI. The never-before-seen silhouette shined bright with patent leather atop a translucent sole, and featured MJ’s number 45 at the heel. More than two decades after its unexpected debut, The Air Jordan 11 Grail returns as an exact recreation of the pair first worn by Michael himself.

Air Jordan 1 Homage to Home

June 3, 2018 | Category: Ward 1 Sneakers

Air Jordan 1 Homage to Home

The latest Air Jordan I is for Chicago, a city whose colors became MJ’s. Back in 1985, before red and black were brand bedrock, the first Air Jordan arrived in the ‘Banned’ and ‘Chicago’ colorways. Both are recreated here as an Homage to Home, split vertically down the middle of each shoe – a hybrid homage that shows love for the city on both sides.

Air Jordan XI • Cap & Gown

Seven years ago, the world got its first look at the all-black Air Jordan XI. It was love at first tease. Shown as part of a collection that included other all-black favorites from the signature line, the colorway was never officially released to the public. Finally, the wait is over. Dressed in patent leather, premium nubuck and an icy outsole, the signature line’s graduating class of 1995 returns in a black cap and gown.

Updated with the luxuries of modern comfort, the Air Max 270 still boast a vintage-inspired exaggerated tongue top and heritage tongue logo, both of which are a direct nod to the original 1991 Air Max 180.
