Blackhawks melt down early in blowout loss to Kraken

The Blackhawks’ sellout crowd of 20,075 watched the Hawks allow six goals in the first 14 minutes of an 8-5 defeat Saturday, overshadowing Patrick Kane’s late goal in his return from injury. Once the game began, the Hawks delivered their worst performance in a season full of bad ones, losing 8-5 to the Kraken after surrendering six goals on seven shots in the first 14 minutes of the game. The result ended a three-game winning streak.

Concepts Air Max 1 – Far Out

January 10, 2023 | Category: Ward 1 Sneakers

Concepts x Nike Air Max 1 SP – Far Out

Completing our celebration of the Air Max 1, we take our third iteration of the classic sneaker to its furthest reaches. From Harlem to Haight-Ashbury, the counterculture of the ‘60s sent a lasting message to the world.

The music, the style, the vibe: It was all “Far Out.” The Northern California Folk Festival pulled it all together by highlighting the era’s most dynamic performers. On stage, the performers mix of bandanas, denim, leather, fringes and more amplified the preferred fashions of the crowd, and in doing so set a trend that defined the 60s. With the Concepts x Nike Air Max 1 SP “Far Out,” the legacy of those looks matches up to the vibrant swirl of psychedelic concert posters.

Like the prior Concepts x Nike Air Max 1, the “Far Out” also includes patterned elements of bandanna, cowhide, and woven material panels. The former, a Concepts-exclusive, approximates the famous guitar straps employed by festival performers. Further details include a lateral striped Swoosh and a medial “flower power” Swoosh. The tongue label revives a classic ‘70s Nike logo and twists it with a Concepts “hippie” word mark.

The shoe also features a custom footbed. As a bonus, the packaging the “Far Out” gets a fully custom psychedelic print (produced in a secondary pink exclusive to in-store raffle winners), complete with a poncho, double album-styled mini record coasters, bandana and sticker pack.
