About Ward 1 Design

I’m Wayne Ward, a Chicago-area creative director, photographer and collector. Ward 1 Design is my visual journal — the stuff that keeps me inspired, shot by me.

Concerts are the core. I’ve photographed shows across Chicago and beyond, from sold-out stadium tours to festival stages, while working for record labels, radio stations, and Live Nation Entertainment. Around that, this site collects everything else I’m into: Chicago sports game days, LEGO builds, bobbleheads, tech — and most importantly, 30+ years of collecting sneakers.
